CivicSpoon 10-13-2005, 04:52 PM http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v473/CivicSpoon/plate.jpg Look for the engine code on that plate, it's located right at the seam where the block meets the transmission. If it's a H23, then it's not worth the time or $ to do the swap. For a Honda engine it has a lot of torque (156), but it'd still be better to just do a b-series swap. hadisious 10-13-2005, 11:17 PM yeah its a h23 definatly now, i actually found that on the engine right before you posted, thanks... well i guess im SOL anybody know any good websites to buy engines? forcefedcivic 10-13-2005, 11:30 PM yeah its a h23 definatly now, i actually found that on the engine right before you posted, thanks... well i guess im SOL anybody know any good websites to buy engines? i just bought my h22a about 2 weeks ago from hmotorsonline.com best prices i could find to swap into my 97 ex coupe. It is obd1 jdm motor. skiclouds 10-14-2005, 04:51 PM http://www.naganojapanese.com/ theres a website also that sells JDM engines. I've read a few good things about them, but have read even more negative. A friend of a friend bought a b16a from then, and his experience went along with all the negative posts. His engine was dirty as hell (the inside, not just the outside), and he was missing quite a few parts as well. And most of the good things I read about them were from customers who actually went to their shop and picked out their own engines (instead of just haveing a random one shipped). But along with hmotors, passwordjdm.com and jhpusa.com are good ones from what I've been told. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
