Hello!
I recently baught my first Grand Cherokee at auction. I have a 1994 with the 4.0 6 cyl that has 129,000k. My friend noticed smoke coming from it on the drive home, upon inspection I found oil on the bottom of the truck, and my oil was low. I washed the engine off (after replacing the oil filter) and found that the leak was coming from the oil filter housing at the large O-ring. I baught A replacement O-ring and then went BONKERS trying to fugure out what tool to use to get the filter housing off.
I have browsed several forums (this one is the best so far  ) and tried a T60 torx bit and several alan head bits. I have gone to several auto parts stores and they have been helpful, but no one can tell me what to use, even my local chrystler dealer. So I after all my rambling I am just asking if any one has replaced this themselves, and if so, what did you do it with?

Thank you,
Jim

If you are talking about taking the oil filter off, they sell an oil filter removal tool. If not, then I honestly do not know what you are talking about. Sorry

Thanks for the reply guys!
I wasn't talking about pulling the filter though, that's easy, it's what the filter is attached to that had me beat. 20 bucks at a shop sounds darn good to me, I'll heve em check the sending unit as well, thanks again!
