Honestly sounds like a battery possible alternator but the key getting stuck seems odd. Did they key come out after it was jumped??? dss56 10-10-2005, 01:02 PM Its a 4dr auto 4x4 and yes the key did come out. I thought I read in the forum at one time that the key not coming out is a sign of the ignition sw being bad when it did not start. I could be wrong. Gonna try a battery first thanks for the reply mike2004tct 10-10-2005, 01:05 PM The key won't come out if the battery is dead/disconnected. I'd probably try a different battery first before replacing the switch. (If you have a spare battery, it took me 1.5 hrs to replace the switch) Indications of the switch being bad; 1) no dash lights when the key is on. Engine cranks, doesn't run. No fuel pump humming (priming) 2) with key on, can't shift the tranny out of park. 3) with key on, check voltage at top of fuse 24 (tranny), if voltage is there, it's not the switch. dss56 10-10-2005, 01:10 PM She is on her way home from New Hampshire to Boston so car is running after the jump to get car going so thats what i will try the battery first about 50$ for a fairly good battery at pep boys for the blazer. again thanks for the help/replys vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
