96 JGC LTD Gold Package ac/heatpakinnee 10-07-2005, 09:21 PM 'Scuse me, please. I'm new to this....My 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd took it upon itself to start showing temperatures for ac/heater in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. I can't find any reason for it to change; neither can I find anyway to change it back again and I'm too old to learn how to figure Celsius temps. Any idea what I can do to get it back again. Nothing that I know of was changed; no work done on it; no battery change or anything. Thanks for your help...and sorry if I jumped in front of someone....Pat JDPascal 10-07-2005, 10:25 PM My Canadian 96 JGC Larado has a metric/US button on the overhead console that switches the display between units. I believe it is the button on the left. The one on the right steps between the different display modes for MPG, DTE temp and odometer readings. Not sure if the US models are the same or not??? Please let us know if this is what it is - or not. JD JDPascal 10-07-2005, 10:26 PM oops - forgot to say WELCOME to AF JD pakinnee 10-07-2005, 10:32 PM Thanks...I'll check it out and let you know...prob'ly in the morning. There are two switches there. I know the one on the left opens and closes the sun/moon roof but maybe the one on the right will take care of it. Thanks again...more tomorrow. pakinnee 10-07-2005, 10:46 PM Just so you can sleep well tonight, I thought I'd check out those buttons when I took my Labradoodle out for a nightly...., well, let her out for a little while. IT WORKED!! Everything's back to normal again. It shows the same info that my '96 DeVille shows in much the same way...mileage, miles to go to service, etc. THANKS so much for helping. The manual didn't have anything in it and I guess I've never punched that button on the right before. Thanks again. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
