Import street racers + animation concept sketchesknightvision 10-04-2005, 03:17 PM Hi guys, I did these sketches in the past few days... I will try to make a animation using 3d software, and since my skills are not that great and I don't have much time, the cars will stay very boxy, so I did the sketches boxy aswell. http://img317.imageshack.us/img317/6199/boxy18ea.jpg (http://imageshack.us) http://img317.imageshack.us/img317/1720/boxy25sj.jpg (http://imageshack.us) This one's how I imagine a freeway race, slightly inspired by Need for Speed Underground :smokin: http://img343.imageshack.us/img343/8125/race6lu.jpg (http://imageshack.us) Enjoy, C&C please. Bonz? 97_sho 10-04-2005, 03:57 PM cool...yet weird..boxy,but cool nice job Magliano 10-04-2005, 06:30 PM Nice... They are very good for some Storyboarding. Here in brazil the TV news usualy use some quick sketches like yours to anounce something quickly. stuffbyalex 10-04-2005, 07:53 PM Nice work! I really like that race scene. Keep up the good work. Alex MBTN 10-04-2005, 08:45 PM I like those action shots. :) XeVeNskyLiNE 10-04-2005, 10:51 PM Liking the action shots. One thing though, there's no way in hell that green car has room to make that cut. He'll either clip the orange car or the diesel. It'd be alot easier if he cut behind the diesel, overtake on the shouler and cut back into the right lane once he passes that white passenger car, then its vroom vroom time. Whoa I can't believe I just visualized that..... Still cool though for sketches AzN 2NR 10-06-2005, 04:11 PM he could cut under the truck like 2f2f style hehe XeVeNskyLiNE 10-06-2005, 09:51 PM he could cut under the truck like 2f2f style hehe Oh gawd no :greddy2: Brings back an interesting memory though. I once saw a C5 Vette get trapped underneath the trailer of diesel once. I don't know how it happened, but I looked in my rear view and the Vette was being pushed sideways like on 2F2F, but the trailer never actually jumped over the car. I turned around to if the guy was alright. The Vette was silver but now it had looked as if it recieved a 2 tone black/silver paint job, one whole side was black with rubber. Can you imagine 4 huge tires barreling down on you like that?! bonzelite 10-07-2005, 04:36 AM good sketching. if you want to know how to get into storyboarding, send me a pm. knightvision 10-07-2005, 02:48 PM thanks for your replies. After I had the lines down, I realized that it does not make much sense to put the big truck on the left lane. I just threw the cars on the road, without thinking about it. I really enjoy making these sketches, because I'm creating my own world then. It's like playing god somehow... lol venom_design 10-07-2005, 03:37 PM hey m8, I love the boxy effect on the first 4 cars and the animation drawing...well...wow!!! very well done!!! I love how the picture ends at once... nicecar 10-08-2005, 05:15 AM what 3d program are you going to use m8? i hope you use blender so you can give me a tutorial vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
