99 GC Tweeters Stopped Working

I am on my second set of tweeters for my 99 Grand Cherokee Limited, with the factory Infinity system. After blowing the stock tweeters, I replaced them with JL tweeters. They worked great for a while, then all of a sudden the passenger side tweeter just stopped working. It makes no sound at all, not crackaling or anything. Then a few weeks later, the driver side tweeter stopped working. For a few days, it would go in and out and sometimes play the music. When it did, the speaker sounded perfect, not blown or anything. Now it just doesn't do anything again.
Is this a possible wiring problem? Could it have to do with the resistors which were installed by BestBuy when the installed the aftermarket tweeters? Please help, I would like to fix the problem by myself if possible so I don't have to pay someone to do something easy. Thanks
BTW all other speakers in the car are working perfect. Only the tweeters have this problem.

The factory fake tweeters are junk and expensive to replace.
Sorry I can't remember the brand I went with, but I did get them from Crutchfield.
They are true tweeters(small) with the inline resistors. I cheated by just droping them in on top of the factory tweeters. They are a little on the powerfull side, but I just drop down the high on the EQ.
