i started feeling the sound from front end (drivers side) wheel. when i turns left i feels something... i cant name what it sound like since i am deaf.

i had my sis in law drive and she says she heard somewhere that are dried up and in need of grease or oil. does it mean my wheel hub assemby bearing is worn out?

what should i check and how before determine what is going on??

Could be bearings, but they are sealed and don't usually "dry up". Another possibility would be your CV joints. Over time, the rubber boots can split, allowing the grease to be flung out of boot. Eventually all the grease leaks out alowing the joint to slowly wear itself to death.

i think it could be bearing cuz i had to replace wheel bearing assembly on the right side and notices that it had no seal... looks badly rusted. maybe be same on left side.

thanks for ur suggestions :)

Wheel bearings, in my experience, grind not only when turning but going straight as well. If you only feel (hear) the grinding while turning, it doesn't rule it out but I would look elsewhere. Another test would be to jack up the front end so that both wheels are off the ground, then turn the wheels to see if the grinding continues. Many times by unloading the wheel bearings of the cars weight will reduce or eliminate the noise. If you still feel (hear) the grinding, then I'd look more at the CV joints.

Good luck with whatever you find.

good idea do that to isloate the wheel bearing and see if it not or making grinding.

before i replace the bearing assembly i tested driving and try to feel wheter its grinding on going forward and turns. yea it does both ways.

had it replaced and my sis in law drove the car again and say the grinding sound is gone...
