I need to remove the cargo area right side panel so that I can wire in a six wire trailer kit. I don't see any screws and do not want to break any snaps.

Can anyone advise of the proper procedure to remove this panel?

I need to tap into the tail/turn signal wires and the 12v power. There is a 12v cig plug in the back, so I could easily tap into all the needed wires if I can just get the panel off without damaging it.

Cole, an aftermarket trailer wiring kit *should* be plug & play for your 2001. It was for the 2002 and 2003 in my family. The factory plug is coiled and taped to a main harness behind the panel near the jack compartment. Get your fingers behind the panel near the tailgate weather stripping and give it a yank. The panel pops right out. You will see the harness taped with blue tape. Uncoil it and shove the connector thru the opening in the jack compartment so you can get at it when you need it.

Cole,
I recently installed the Isuzu wiring kit. It came with a 4-pin setup.
Rodeo02 is correct, the factory harness receptacle is already wired
in your truck. There is also a pop-out plastic grommet down in the
fenderwell below the level of the interior cargo floor. You'll need a
mirror to see it but it is easily felt. The Isuzu kit comes with a rubber
grommet with a hole in it. Lube the replacement to get it in easier.
To remove the side cargo panel, it may also be easier to first remove
the cargo "lip" on the floor. There are three snap-in plastic clips towards
the rear, there is another snap-in plastic clip adjacent to the cigar lighter
thing-a-ma-bobber. The pocket is held to the frame by two clips.
Finally there are several plastic "tongues" in the front of the panel that
slide out when the panel is pulled rearward.
What Rodeo do you have? I have a 02' Rodeo Sport.
There may be a dissimilarity in the body panels....but hopefully this'll
give you a hand. I've dismantled the entire interior of my RS twice.....
That rear panel is the easiest part IMO.
Good Luck!
