battery goes dead overnight from RAP#2 short

I have a 2001 Suburban. On the 50A RAP#2 there is a 7-8 AMP fluctuating current drain (about every 20 seconds) that runs the battery dead overnight. When I remove the fuse, draind is gone. But then my keyless entry & door locks don't work.

Does anyone know what the problem is, or even better how to fix it?

Thanks.

How are you performing your parasitic load test?
Have you powered down the BCM?
Do you have Onstar?

It is possible that if the parasitic load testing was done correctly, you may have a incorrectly configured Onstar VIU that is not cycling properly causing your draw.

I put an amp meter in place of the 50A fuse. About every 20 seconds the 7-8amp current drain would occur for about 10 seconds.

I don't use onstar. How can I disconnect it? I didn't see a specific fuse just for that item in the fuse panel. Perhaps under the dash?

Thanks for your assistance GMMERLIN.
