hey everyone. just installed an amplifier with subs in my cav. I have no aftermarket radio. so I had to use an impedence adapter... anyways... but the amps always on :( so I gotta find a good turn-on wire that is easy to access. any suggestions??

If you don't mind having the amp turned on whenever the car is on (regardless of the radio being on), just find a switched accessory power wire and use it for your sense. You shouldn't have to worry about current issues as it will be very little.

im in your same situation, what i did was ran the remote wire into the fusebox, hooked it up to the windshield wiper fuse, and also put a toggle switch underneath the drivers seat, just in case i wanted to turn the amp off without turning off the car, before i had just the toggle switch but after many times of forgeting to turn it off, i learned my lesson the hard way when i went to buy a new battery
