I am having a problem with my temperature slider, when I put it all the way to cold position or all the way to the hot position it causes something behind the center console to start clicking and it will only stop when I move the slider over a little bit .The noise is like a pulsing of something that is trying to open or close.Any help or Ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try searching here "blend door" or "blend door actuator".

I checked out the other posts on the subject, can you tell me exactly where the blender dooor is so I can look at the area and see what nneds to be done to repair or replace the broken part.I s it directly behind the radio or near the glove box I'm not sure.

Thanks

The temp blend door itself is in the plastic cabin air plenum assembly ... that is mounted above the steering column, below the windschield and reaches from left "A" pillar to right "A" pillar. It was not meant to be removable. It is located just forward of the radio ...maybe slightly to the right. If you look upward from the drivers floor you can see the white plastic blend door "actuator" that inserts into the blend door through a small pivot hole.

You probably only have an issue with the actuator ... and this is fairly easly to replace if you don't mind a few explicatives. The actuator is about the size of a pack of cigarettes .... about $40 at the dealer.

The blend door is not available as a replacement part. Ford will sell you an entire plenum assembly for $300 or so .... but it is a major job to replace.

If you determine that your problem is the door itself, and not the actuator ... come back to us.
