Fuel pump not coming onGTP COUPE 09-28-2005, 07:40 PM I have been writing questions about the ECM senser fuse. the fuse is hot and not blown now but I am haveing a problem with the fuel pump not coming on the #5 prong on the relay is hot & putting out 12 volts the #1 is putting out 9 volts and if I jump it to the # 3 the pump comes on but not when the relay is plugged in. Is the relay bad or somthing else keping it from coming on? BNaylor 09-28-2005, 07:53 PM I have been writing questions about the ECM senser fuse. the fuse is hot and not blown now but I am haveing a problem with the fuel pump not coming on the #5 prong on the relay is hot & putting out 12 volts the #1 is putting out 9 volts and if I jump it to the # 3 the pump comes on but not when the relay is plugged in. Is the relay bad or somthing else keping it from coming on? There should be two relays involved in fuel pump operation applicable only to the GTP. There is a fuel pump relay and after that a fuel pump speed control relay which ties into a fuel pump resistor to make the GTP's fuel pump a two speed fuel pump. Are you using a GP (Vin 1) wiring diagram to troubleshoot? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/lizzywiz/gtp.jpg Thrasher CAI, DHP v1.0 PCM, SLP Headers, 3.25 SC pulley, CAIT GMAF, 2.5 DP/Hi-Flow CAT, u-bend delete, 160 TS, ZZP Stage 1 72mm TB, TB spacer, MSD 8.5mm wires, Autolite 103, Goodyear Gatorback Serp. & SC Belt, Nitto NT555R Drag Radials 1/4 ET: 13.210 sec. @ 104.490 mph 0 - 60 ft: 1.945 sec. BNaylor 09-28-2005, 08:34 PM I reviewed the wiring diagram. The relay could be bad or it's not energizing because you are either missing the 12v which will be on one side of the relay coil or missing the ground to the relay coil. BTW - The ground originates at you guessed it the transaxle/engine ground. Good luck! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/lizzywiz/gtp.jpg Thrasher CAI, DHP v1.0 PCM, SLP Headers, 3.25 SC pulley, CAIT GMAF, 2.5 DP/Hi-Flow CAT, u-bend delete, 160 TS, ZZP Stage 1 72mm TB, TB spacer, MSD 8.5mm wires, Autolite 103, Goodyear Gatorback Serp. & SC Belt, Nitto NT555R Drag Radials 1/4 ET: 13.210 sec. @ 104.490 mph 0 - 60 ft: 1.945 sec. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
