98 Camry- Gear shiftingchandr 09-28-2005, 02:08 PM Hi, I had 98 Camry XLE (Auto Transmission) and purchased this car one year back. Currently the mileage is 57,260 miles. I cleaned my transmiison using Auto-RX and changed it after 2000 miles using transmission fluid flush. whenever i accelerate and then ease up on the gas pedal, the car kicks a bit when the engine temparature is cold. I didn't find this symptom when engine temparature reached the required level I wants to know what are the causes for this symptom and how to rectify this problem. Thank You in advance Chand Daniel M. Dreifus 09-28-2005, 08:13 PM to help the car reach normal operating temperature more quickly, the coolant temperature sensor will not let the ECM computer shift the transmission into overdrive until a certain minimum temperature is reached - could just be that.
