i washed my dads car and then i had to pick something up and when i came home i waxed it. i started from the front back. the hood was still warm when i put the wax and and when i went to take it off it came off but you can still see it! like you can see like the swirls and where i put it on. i washed it with dishsoap cuz i heard that takes off wax but it only helped a little. what else can i do? i dont want my dad to find out. suggestions? do i need a new hood? can i have someone buff it out? help please!!!!!!!!

Have you tried waxing it again??

Did you steal the car from your dad or is he just a gigantic ass?

Are you using ALOT of force when you are buffing it out and making sure you wait till the wax is dry? Make sure you don't put to much wax on it also. Do not use anything harsh on the hood. It would be better to tell your dad. The hood is definately not ruined.

Maybe someone else will come along with another suggestion soon.

Ok dude here is what you do. Never wax a car hot or warm especially if a dark color. Meguiars has some very good products. So go to local store and check out there #7 sealer it works well people say thats a sealer just trust me I am aware of what it is .The stuff is like oil based so it will not dry but is a job to get off. After that I suggest you get Meguiars #26
yellow wax this great stuff .I have been using it for years . Now i tried somthing new the other day it was just a tad bit higher priced than the yellow wax .But listen man this stuff is great , or maybe the best i have ever used.Meguiars NXT generation (TECH WAX) it"s a synthetic polymer
formula that dont just make the water roll off when it rains but it will
dance off my friend . All the above are very trust worthy waxes or cleaner , polishes. ect ect ect.Let me know what you think

so use meguiar's #7 wax first to get rid of the wax i already put on then use tech wax. right?

Ok dude sorry i have been out .You should use the #7 first ,pull the car inside a garage or under the carport or just a shade tree to keep out of sun and try to keep paint cool.It would be best to do early of the morning if you have to do outside.Ok when finished with #7 you can use #26 0r the tech wax. What color is the car that will tell me which one of the two you should use with the experience that you have with waxing .I am not trying to put you down or anything like that but you dont seem like you have much know how in this field of work I apoligize agian for the remark.
Tell me the color if it is black, dark green or blueor red maroon, use
the #26,but if a light color use the tech. Now remember that the longer you wait on getting that off the worse or harder it is to deal with

black

:lol:Oh shit dude you have your work cut out for you because black is worst to streak like this.Use the #7 you make sure the car is cool . You may have to wax the top like the hood and trunk more than once with the #7.Ok after that just use the #26 I no for a fact that those two are great together on black rub #7 first #26 yellow wax 2nd.Another thing is the yellow wax comes in liquid form or the paste form You need the liqiud . Man if the car is clean and most of all cool this will fix you right up and your dad will be very impressed .Good luck and hey let me know how it turns out .Oh no i almost forgot if you have the extra money while you are at the part store pick up some microfiber towels they are great for waxing

I will say this one more time ok.#7 rub the shit out of it .Then you should use the yellow wax #26 not the tech wax .The tech wax would probaly be ok but i have only used on my blazer two times so dont no how it would work on black for You!!!!. the #26 will be fine I no that because i have used it hundreds of times it is a very good wax.
