I am helping with a 95 SL1. The automatic transmission really shifts hard. I know I saw a thread one time about checking the fuses..I have done that, they all appear to be OK (both in the engine compartment and in the car)although I did not remove and replace each one. I also checked for loose or broken wires going into the the top of the transmission (under the battery).
Anything else I can do, short of taking it in? I think the local dealer is a rip off. Thanks

the fuse in question is MLPS or TCLP, something like that. is the hard shift when shifting to reverse, into drive, or shifting when driving?

It shifts hard in all of those

time for anew trans or swap 5-speed into it
