Vid, modded 93 civic si, 03 celica gt, 91 celica st91 Celica St 09-25-2005, 03:45 PM i did a run last night, we did it from a 10 mph roll, its pretty evident even from the video the 7th gen celica took off WAY too early, about 20 feet from where we were going to, i started about right, mabe a couple feet too soon :) and the civic took off a little late (duno how that happened) oh yea civic has intake headers exhuast straight pipe 256 duration cam cam gears and more but i dun remember what it has 7th gen celica had intake straight pipe i have intake headers exhuast stright pipe i need someone to host the video, was a really close race, its funny cuz the only car you can really hear is mine untill the civic pases the camera (camras a little after the 1/4) and u can hear the fart cannon :) in al honesty both of those cars had MAD power on me, i only have probly about 130 HP, the celicas prob got about 150 and the civic is well over 160. but when you have things like v-tec and vvt-i you get shit for tourqe and you have really no lowe end....im prob pushin upwards of 140 pounds of tourqe while both those other cars arent even breaking 100 pounds when my peak hits....also the subtile fact my car only weighs in at about 2350 the celica about 2500 and the civic about 2600... i still attest to that if you have 2 cars, both at 2500 pounds, equal drivers and both have a 7k redline, 150 hp but one has a v-tec and one dosent, the one withought it will win by a good amount, simply becuase peak tourq should come at about 3000 rpm while the one with variable cam timing will come at around 5000 and the hp on the lift should come at around 6500 while the one w/out will coem at around 5500 blakscorpion21 09-26-2005, 03:03 PM cant someone host? i wanna see it. wheres vip09 didnt he host a vid one time? johnnybate 09-26-2005, 03:10 PM i can host it email me johnnybate@snet.net 91 Celica St 09-26-2005, 06:11 PM its WAYYYYY to big of a file for me to send to you over email, i have to have a website or somewehre i can go to upload it johnnybate 09-26-2005, 11:46 PM www.yousendit.com SigmaProjects 09-27-2005, 03:56 AM if things don't work out with johnnybates, i just got a new server for my website and i'll have a FTP on it soon. 91 Celica St 09-27-2005, 05:44 PM i still have to get the vid from my firends camera first, prob have it this weekend SigmaProjects 09-27-2005, 10:53 PM when you say you are pushing 140 tq, do you mean to the wheels or at the fly? 91 Celica St 09-28-2005, 05:15 PM fly, lol its porb like 110 at the wheels SigmaProjects 09-28-2005, 08:33 PM oh ok, cuz i was like, wait, 140 tq at the wheel? That would mean you're making tq like a 2.2L or 2.4L, lol So what happen to you getting a turbo? 91 Celica St 09-28-2005, 11:38 PM i made a new post about the swap cuz u mentioned....im sure some poeple are still wondering whats up with it SigmaProjects 10-02-2005, 12:37 PM i checked out the power band on the 2ZZGE and at 3K the motor should be making around 117 tq and then at 4K they're up 125 tq. After all they only make like 130 tq peak. 91 Celica St 10-02-2005, 06:32 PM lol not even close, it hits 100 tq at 3300 rpm about 500 after my [peak SigmaProjects 10-03-2005, 02:31 AM i was just going off of toyota's spread sheet. can i see the one where you get this info from? I'm not arguing that your car doesn't have better low end. Like how the 1ZZ gets tq faster compared to the 2ZZ. 91 Celica St 10-03-2005, 06:54 PM yea the zzfe does get tourqe quicker, just look at the peak #'s....find a dyno sheet of a stock gt-s its not that hard SigmaProjects 10-03-2005, 10:57 PM gah... too lazy =P maybe cuz I was looking a japanese dyno sheet or would it still be too high? 91 Celica St 10-03-2005, 11:18 PM could have been a modded one, mabe it was a real one, the ones ive seen make the 100 Tq crossover at like 3300 rpm SigmaProjects 10-03-2005, 11:24 PM yikes, that makes me sad, since i'm 100% sure i'll get one in a 3rd gen once i friggen find one that isn't f'd up the ass, lol. Are there any decently priced s/c for the 2ZZ i keep seeing really expensive ones only =/ kits that are more expensive that TRD stuff o.0 Cuz you know me, I like response, maybe i'll just have to wait another year before I can get a s/c setup for it. 91 Celica St 10-04-2005, 04:55 PM ^ yea im all for that, i hate when poeple only look at #'s, you gotta look how the power is made, wehres the peak, and how good it flows, i could have 200 WHP in my new motor, but it would be the most peaky power ever, i want a nice even powerband wehre i can have power throught my rpms SigmaProjects 10-04-2005, 10:15 PM yea honestly, I mean if you are on a track with very little slow down then peaky power ain't bad, but something like you are doing, you'll need that quicker responce and I'm not really used to low responce motors either. I mean 7th gen GTs are fun, but they won't move coming out of a corner... and with the loss in power from the FR set up on 3rd gens I'm going to be missing how torque feels, lol untill I guess I get a s/c which could take a long time. People can make fun of me for drifting in an Astro, but the low gears and 200 tq at the wheels even before it's at 1500rpms makes for some pretty fun drifting, even at 40 mph, just wish it had a LSD =( 91 Celica St 10-05-2005, 05:10 PM ^ wish i could find an aw11 lsd tranny, myh goal of dippin into 13's is not going to happen withought it 91 Celica St 10-05-2005, 07:54 PM can someone host a vid or not? SigmaProjects 10-05-2005, 08:30 PM im pretty sure I can. Let me ask my buddy that is working with on our site. SigmaProjects 10-06-2005, 02:17 AM yea i can host 91 Celica St 10-06-2005, 03:46 PM gimme an adress SigmaProjects 10-08-2005, 09:20 PM do you have a ftp program or will i need to tell you how to do it throught he command prompt? 91 Celica St 10-11-2005, 04:35 PM i have jack and shit on this computer, the best thing i can do is just either send pieces of it through an email or find a site where i can directly upload it off my computer...iof no one can gimme an ftp site by this weekend il chop it up and mail it to i think it was black, but whoever could email host it vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
