New MeshHiT-TheNos420 09-22-2005, 07:19 PM I recently posted Mesh grill questions. I installed this myself how does it look? http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=15285311&imageID=234596958&Mytoken=D7B6EFC6-81B6-4E5E-996D8F990AB396D9866507859 SLoe 09-22-2005, 07:25 PM Cool, did you home depot or e-bay? HiT-TheNos420 09-22-2005, 08:27 PM ebay 12 dollars plus 8 dollars shipping SLoe 09-22-2005, 09:21 PM How did it attach? Does it have a frame or is it just a piece of mesh with some screws? Black97GST 09-22-2005, 11:00 PM you should have put it in the side holes also. thats what i did. just go to Home Depot and buy some for the sides. HiT-TheNos420 09-23-2005, 03:47 AM I looked into that, but what glue whould I use and I found it hard to try to securelly hold it in place while a glue was drying. The front MEsh is held by 2 screws on the inside black plastic part. Black97GST 09-23-2005, 10:58 AM i use zip ties! lol ;) HiT-TheNos420 09-23-2005, 12:23 PM i couldnt find any place to tie zi ties, they came with the kit. it looks ok, you cant notice the screws unless you look deep into the sides. SmicAA72 09-23-2005, 03:32 PM I want to get some mesh and spray paint it black for my kit, can you link me to where you bought it, but i dont know how i feel about drilling holes into the kit... soapsuds22 09-23-2005, 05:00 PM I want to get some mesh and spray paint it black for my kit, can you link me to where you bought it, but i dont know how i feel about drilling holes into the kit... If you want a darker looking one you can do what I did. Found a farm and cut out a peice of wire fence that keeps wolves away from the chickens. Looks just as good if not better than anything you buy and it's free as long as you don't have to bail yourself out or go to the hospital because of a guard dog. http://www.dsmtuners.com/gallery/data/500/50204jeanie_117-med.jpg crunchymilk55 09-23-2005, 05:53 PM lol @ ghettoness! AWESOME SmicAA72 09-23-2005, 07:03 PM You think I should put sort of like a gunmetal color to the mesh, that might look pretty sweet... EDIT: Also, how would i go about getting it onto the bumper. I'm not big on putting holes through the kit, so some sort of clipping system would be ideal. Also, the front support bar is still there, my body guy wouldnt take it off... (hes my neighbor, and "has a son, and wouldn't feel good about me driving around without it or some shit) whatever... I kinda like how it closes the size of the front whole, doesn't look ugly either... SLoe 09-23-2005, 10:31 PM [QUOTE=soapsuds22]cut out a peice of wire fence that keeps wolves away from the chickens. First 'visual mod' done to my car. Went to Home Depot and spent $2.78 for 2 pieces of gutter-guard. Hard time cutting the sides, but it looks awesome. Made a template and all. Remarkably, it's still in there, and in there good. Stayed in as I plowed through the snow in the winter and all the elements. Check it out http://www.dsm3d.com/af_pics/grill.jpg Did the same thing on my boys MX6 too, but it fell out after 3 weeks. SmicAA72 09-26-2005, 09:02 AM I checked out gutter guard from your guidance, but it is wayyy to small to fit the entire opening of my bumpers. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
