wheel bearingsBlk&BluGTP 09-22-2005, 09:04 AM i have a friend wiht a 99 contour se think its a 4 cylinder and he needs to replace the drivers front wheel bearing. im supposed to help him out this weekend to do the job. im not a ford person i do mainly gm vehicles so my question is on these contours is the wheel bearing actually a bearing or is it like the gm where its all a hub assembly and what am i getting my self into changing it for him. GM's are rather easy to do 3 bolts and pull it off the axle how about the Contour??? any help is great. beyondloadedSE 09-22-2005, 09:22 AM you can buy the wheel bearing seperate or you can just buy the whole knuckle assembly. btw, youll need a 20 ton press to press them in.
