I was wondering I have a 97 4runner sr5 the power antena mast broke a while ago and everytime i start it you can hear the motor run now it seems my ACC fuse has blow for my radio and antenna and clock I checked the manual and it said that there were 2 fuses for the antena I dissconeted the motor from underneath the wheel well and the fuse is still blowing. I was wondering if I can diconnect the power antena cable from the radio would this help, and also how do you get the plate off so you can pull out the radio. thanks for any help

If you are asking how you can remove the dash cover to get to the radio...you can pull down and out on the 2 center air vents (the casing around the air vents) and the plastic molding will snap off. You should be able to pull the molding towards you (from the top) enough to expose the screws that hold the radio in.

I have a question for you on your antenna - how did you disconnect the antenna motor? Have you removed your antenna? If so, how do you do that?

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for responding I figured it out, I disconnected the antena motor I and had to remove the plastic cover inside the front passenger side wheel well inside you will see a connector that you just pull apart and that will disconnect the antena motor. Good Luck
