I haven't replaced the antifreeze in this auto for a long time. How important is it? Any easy ways to flush the radiator?

I consider it to be cheap insurance. The glycol eventually breaks down and becomes caustic to aluminum parts, not to mention looses it's cooling ability. :2cents:

You might want to look into some radiator flush kits (Prestone?).

just make sure if you flush it that you put the coolant system supplimental tablet sealer tabs back in so you dont develope any leaks.. they are relatively cheap about 3.99 and should be put in everytime the coolant is changed per gm

Never heard of this item. Sure this is necessary for a Buick? Can you give me a web site reference for this?

GM tech bulletin (Customer Satisfaction Program 03034, dated 7/7/2003), states that these tablets are to be used in the 3.8L engines until July 31, 2005.
