I'm planning on a swap including the b18c5 turbocharged on a wagon and im wondering about the limitations to the stock 87 RT4WD tranny. its gonna be a 84-87 chassis so id like to use the 87 tranny if i can.

any tips?

You're not going to be able to use the wagon's Transmission with this setup... I may be wrong... But the d-series tranny will not bolt up with the b-series... Sorry.

Yeah, and the 4WD rear axle will be useless without a 4WD tranny, and no other rear axle fill fit without major modifications.

The good news is that an 86-89 Acura Integra D16A1 or ZC1 (115hp or 135hp) will drop right in and bolt right up to your tranny (Civic 4WD only!). The only modification you'll need to do is a fuel injection conversion using a donor ECU and wiring harness from an 86-87 Integra.

The D16A1 or ZC1 motors can easily produce 150-160 HP with some work. If you're planning on adding a turbo, you'll be somewhere in the 200-250hp range which is comparable to what you'd get with a B-series.

The only thing lxndr, I don't think the transfer case could handle all of that power... Might blow it to shreds? Just a question.

The transfer case only transfers about 10% of the power to the rear wheels (so I've heard).

Right, but I've heard that they won't hold up if you put alot more power into the motor...

I think someone should do this so we can get past the "hear say".
