01 drivers power windows relay/module??

I have an 01 windstar and recently the drivers window has been acting up. In the past it was intermittent, now it is stuck down. When I push the switch I can hear a clicking noise coming from under the dash. It is either coming from the fuse/relay box or from the front electronic module next to the fuse box. Since all my other windows are working fine I don't think it is a fuse or relay problem, but I'm not sure. I have also checked the switch and it seems to be working fine. I can wiggle the window as I'm pressing the switch but it doesn't help. The window seems to be free. Any suggestions??

possible that the window motor is burnt out. Before you replace it you should remove the panel and make sure it has not wedged it self against something in the door. At the same time you can test for power at the motor to rule out wiring/switch problems To try and loosen it up, try lightly tapping the motor with a hammer while pressing the up switch.

I have the same problem with my 2004 windstar. Drivers window is stuck up though. I also hear a clicking from the module under the dash. Any ideas?

Do a search on this board about electric windows. You'll find a long discussion about this.
