1992 New Yorker Fifth Avenue will not start at all. Everything has been replaced that normally causes this trouble.

The mechanic says that for some reason the signal isn't getting from the crank sensor to ignite the fuel and apparently he doesn't know what to do to fix it. Both fuel pump and crank sensor are new.

Any thoughts on how to correct the problem???

Thanks

Have him check the ASD (AutoShutDown) relay. It controls power to the coil pack and fuel pump. Chances are your relay is tripped or busted and needs to be replaced.

Thanks for the advice. Of all the explaniations I've heard and tried thats a new one. I'll post back if it's the trouble.

Meanwhile, anyone else feel free to add their own thoughts.

Thanks again:)

I can't get back to the garage until later this week but before I do, I got to ask, where is the ASD relay located????

Thanks:)

The ASD is located inside the drivers fender next to the sbec. You may want to have the SBEC and the body controller checked. Both will kill the vehicle

If you set the alarm of it will shut down the engine & won't start. try unhooking the battery for 5 min"s to reset it then unlock the passengerside dore with the to reset it. or maybe u got a dead battery.
