87 250 AOD tranny or not?

I know this might sound like a stupid question but I've been told that this truck probably has a C6 in it. The truck is an 87 F250 2wd With a 5.0L EFI 302 engine. Well I crawled underneath it looking for an I.D. tag. The tag I found has 3 lines of #'s, Top line is PKBL9, Center line is 012311 F3, Bottom line is E7TP DAA. Now on the pan it says Automatic Overdrive Metric. I called the dealer and was told that it couldn't be looked up by the VIN cause it is too old. The VIN sticker in the door jamb says T in the tranny section. If anyone knows which tranny this is, maybe you might also know from what other vehicles I might swap a tranny from. I dropped my drive line and it cracked the case, and I cant go camping again until I change it out. And the family really wants to go camping. All your help is greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Thanx peppermrj for all of the info. It has already answered a couple of other questions that I had. Now I just have to find a good source for a new or remanned trans that has had all of the appropriate changes made to it. Thanx again.
