Ok, here's what's going on. About 4 days ago I noticed that I was leaking what looked to be anti-freeze. After checking under the hood I found that it was not leaking from the radiator or resevoir but from a small L-shaped hose coming from the firewall area. I had a friend look at it and he said it was just the A/C overflow valve. He didn't know why it was green though. I have never used the A/C. Now I am having a problem with it overheating. Driving is fine, but when I stop or idle the temp guage goes all the way over to the red and then the "check guages" light comes on. The fan has not been working since I noticed the above mentioned leak. Also while driving it seems like the car doesn't want to accelerate properly. It seems sluggish. I had a similar problem about 2 years ago and had to have the waterpump replaced. Anybody have any ideas?

Found out it's a bad heater core. For now I just bypassed the heater core, replaced the thermostat, and replaced the fan relay. Everything is fine for now. Of course the heater core will need to be replaced before winter.
