1992 Nissan 4x4 truck problemBill13 09-09-2005, 09:14 PM My Nissan turns over but sometimes starts right off or sometimes not at all, but always turns over. When it dosn't start it seems as though its flooding(smell). When it does run it runs great, idles great. There has been times that it started and spit and sputtered, blowing black smoke out the exhaust for a while then it will run great after a while. Seems to start better on a cold start than a warm start. Replaced: wires plugs coil computer rotary cap and button Any Ideas: Any help would be appriciated. Thanks Bill :banghead: DriftinXE 10-08-2005, 08:22 PM Checked the timing? Fuel injector cleaner and/or a trip to the local mechanic to have them cleaned may help alot. Red_Ghost07 07-10-2007, 11:29 PM I'm having a problem with my pickup. I did something stupid with it, and let my friend race it, and ever since, it constantly dies. When you let it idle, the engine will lurch back and forth a few times, then it needs to be rekeyed. When you bring it to a full stop, it will die. If you give it plenty of gas, you can get it to start going down the road, but it wont get you far because it is always dying. It a manual transmission if that helps anyone. I'm open to suggestions, and need help and cant afford to take it to a mechanic. I'm hoping its just something minor, but I can't tell for sure. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
