my friend helped me and my step-father put my engine back together and he said he tightened my lifters properly. well when we started the car they were making a loud noise and we think he either didnt tightened them tight enough. how tight do u have to tighten them on a 1996 grand am gt 3.1 sfi liter?

i dont know but most people read a manuals and use a torche wrench and tighen to spec. i take it he didn't?
