voyager keeps cutting outlesball 09-08-2005, 05:02 PM ill try to be more specific.my 97 voyager cuts out about 2 seconds after i turn the key.this happens repeatedly.fuel is ok,but the l.e.d.mileage/trip counter and the temp. and fuel guages do not function.all the other flashing symbols come on ok.any ideas?id apreciate the input. neon_rt 09-08-2005, 06:18 PM The newer vans have a feature that if the VIN# in the various computers don't match, the engine control model assumes the vehicle has been stolen or altered or there is a major malfunction and the engine is immediately shut off. Since your gauges are not working correctly, I would assume that one of the modules are not reporting the VIN # and triggering the shutdown, probably the one that controls the gauges. That is where I would start for a solution. I think it is the Body Control Module that is responsible for the gauges, but I'm not sure. lesball 09-09-2005, 09:22 AM The newer vans have a feature that if the VIN# in the various computers don't match, the engine control model assumes the vehicle has been stolen or altered or there is a major malfunction and the engine is immediately shut off.
