I have a 2001 burb and recently noticed the carpet was wet on the passenger side in the front and middle rows. I noticed this immediately after a rain shower in which I had been driving. I went to the dealer and had them check the condensate drain. They said it appears to be draining fine. The windshield has been replaced. I had that checked. No leaks. The windshield place mentioned something about a fresh air box. Please help!

Hvae you checked your coolant level, Cause your heaster core is located above the pass floor board. and when they start leaking they will leave the pass and somethime middle wet. just a suggestion. had it happen to me on my suburban.

Just a thought but have you looked under molding on the passangers side next to the windsheild. It should just pull off. Once you get it off run some water all over that side of the truck and see if you have a small puddle right next to the windsheild. My 99 Silverado did the exact same thing and it was a lack of body filler at the upper joint. You can look at the joint by opening the door and pulling back the large rubber seal. Just a thought. Good luck

i have a 01 suburban 2500 lt,8.1. the same thing happened to me . a hard rain, next day my pass side carpet and pad were soaked, also carpet behind pass. seat. i think i have the solution. the grill below the wipers, air intake, has a drain hole, down inside the fender, if this gets plugged with bits of leaves, muck, whatever,it fills up and flows to the heater duct, this is a total gm problem, they used to seal this off, they dont do it now,i dont know why but gm quality has gone way downhill.its getting harder and harder to be a chevyman. anyway, you have ducts going right down the floor next to the center hump, which are snapped together, not sealed, and the water flows down inside the duct and out the joint, soaking your carpet and pad,not good, and also all your computer boards are right there in the pass. side kick panel and dont do well in moist conditions.make sure that thing is draining, go to dealer, they have to take dash apart and do some caulking. they should know about it, its in a gm service bulletin. or just make sure drain holes are not plugged. hope this helps.

This post is really late but it may help someone in the future. I had the same problem and I discovered the rear condendsate drain was in fact plugged up. I cleaned it out and the problem was solved
