was given 97 grand (very nice)with blown motordwjnn2 09-07-2005, 11:28 PM how hard is it to change motor in these things? Do i hafta take the whole front end off to pull it? waltham41 09-07-2005, 11:41 PM You dont have to on a 92 model so I am going to assume that you dont have to on your model. Get yourself a Haynes and read up on it and it should not be that big a deal if you are mechanically inclined ;) theFREAKnasty82 09-08-2005, 01:20 AM It's not that hard; if you have the 3.0 V6, it comes with lifting eyes, or hooks, on the motor that when you attach a cherrypicker, makes it really easy. As long as you've disconnected the fuel lines, ground straps, motor mounts, and any other electrical connectors, removal of the engine is not that hard. Just FYI, when removing the motor, make sure you drain your oil and coolant to avoid any big mess that could be made. dwjnn2 09-13-2005, 03:35 AM pulled nose off, everything including bumper (all Except headlights, lol) and was way to go, gave ample room...motor was a 3.3, was tough getting out but learned needed to take off water pump pulley and harmonic balancer,,,(including ALL steering and alternator brackets ) short and sweet,,,, was a learn as ya go thing..New motor in, smoked a lil like normal,,,,,, runs great, hope it runs same for 100,000 miles, thank you for your reply Ed_Strong 09-13-2005, 11:16 AM where did you get the new motor from? dwjnn2 09-14-2005, 01:54 AM got at local salvage yard from wrecked van. <wrecked about 6 months ago> vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
