Anyone recognize this wire?Booch 09-07-2005, 12:45 AM Had the airbox off today on my 02 Xtreme 4.3 liter. Next to the stud that holds the box bottom in place is a harness that is kinda taped up, with one of the wires (a red one) with a large ring terminal on the end. Anyone know what this would be for? Almost looks like a ground, but why would it be red? You can actually see this thing sticking up once the airbox is in place; here's some pics withouth the airbox mounted...... http://files.bighosting.net/da77473.jpg http://files.bighosting.net/xr77474.jpg BlazerLT 09-07-2005, 03:33 AM That might be the fuel pump prime lead. 97BlazerDude 09-07-2005, 09:41 PM I have the same thing on my 97. Red lead with a ring terminal near the cruise control box that connects to nothing. GM secret wire. tblake 09-07-2005, 11:21 PM your car runs, right? Everything work? If so, tape it with black electrical tape, and leave it alone. I wouldnt ground it, as it might fry a computer. All cars have wires just hanging, they are usually for diagnostics. If everything is working, I'd leave it that way. KHFINLAY 09-09-2005, 05:02 AM Had the airbox off today on my 02 Xtreme 4.3 liter. I Have the same thing too. One red one blue with ring end on one. Glad to know it wasnt the idiot who owned the truck before and put on the most complex remote starter (about 50 wires) ive ever seen. My truch runs ok with them just taped up. Guess I will stop worrying about them now vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
