good sounding exhaustchris hatch 05-09-2002, 04:18 PM hey wasup I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on some exhaust. I have a 98 civic ex 4 door with aem cold air intake and a dc sports 4-1 stainless steel header, and plans of a jrsc. I want to get some good sounding exhaust that isen't to deep, but still sporty. I was thinken the dc sports stainless steel exhaust or one of the new tanabe medalion exhausts. If anyone could give me some advice I would appreciate it thanx. MechanisM 05-09-2002, 05:29 PM First of all...everyone has their own opinion about exhaust. Some people say a certain exhaust sounds raspy while the other person says it sounds deep. I drive a 97 Lude and I recently put the Thermal R&D Classic system on. It is deep and not as loud as some other exhausts, there is no raspiness what so ever from what I have noticed so far, but it hasn't been broken in completely yet either. chris hatch 05-09-2002, 08:31 PM so basically your sayen go with whatever? MechanisM 05-09-2002, 10:39 PM im saying you need to hear the exhaust for yourself. chris hatch 05-09-2002, 10:55 PM yea but thats just it, I posted this because i wanted to see if anyone has the exhausts I named and if they were satisfied with the sound, I don't know anybody with those exhausts so I can't hear them.:smoker2: MechanisM 05-10-2002, 12:41 AM Well, I am satisfied with mine. It has a very deep tone in my opinion and is still within the legal sound barrier. chris hatch 05-11-2002, 10:16 PM cool cool:smoker2: kidrocket 05-13-2002, 03:45 AM apex WS CXHatchback 05-13-2002, 11:42 AM I love the throaty sound of the Greddy SP 97teg 05-13-2002, 11:15 PM I just installed the new tanabe super medallion hyper spec. on my 97 teg last week. It sounds very nice, deep and relatively quiet compared to other exhausts I've heard. I recommend this exhaust as long as you're not looking for a loud exhaust. chris hatch 05-14-2002, 12:27 AM hey thanx for the advice guys I am going with the tanabe racing spec, because I have heard alot of good reviews on it.:bandit: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
