360 motor ?justin/emt 09-06-2005, 08:54 PM I have a 95 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 360, and am needing a differant motor, and was wondering if a 360 from 73 pickup will work? theFREAKnasty82 09-08-2005, 03:11 AM the motors are the same, but there are a few differences that could make it hard to work. The 73 motor was carbureated and had not electronics whatsoever, your 360 has a crankshaft position sensor mounted in the back of the motor that has a cutout specifically for that purpose, the 73 does not. You'll have to change out the intake manifold b/c of the fuel delivery system differences and your crank pulley. It could work, I've never seen it done, just a lot of mods to do it. Your best bet, get one from another '95 Ram or anything else prior to '93. justin/emt 09-08-2005, 08:11 PM the motors are the same, but there are a few differences that could make it hard to work.
