I have 03 with a wobble. It was fine one night, then the next morning I got in and had a wobble. I thought I had a bubble on the tire, a weight fell off the wheel or something like that. Had them checked, balanced and rotated, still there!

I was the only one who drove it and I didn't hit a curb or anything and it happend all of a sudden. I'm stumped!

Any ideas??

THANKS!

Lots of things relating to the front suspension can cause a wobble. Occasionally something at the back axle will feel like it's coming from the front. Check tie rods and steering linkages. I had to have the rods on my '98 replaced because they wouldn't hold alignment. Also check your brake rotors and rear drums for balance or out of round. Same for the wheels. Check your CV joints and axles for damage. While you're under there take a look at your upper and lower ball joints. Good luck.

It's probably a bad tire. I'd try a different shop. Hopefully you dont have suspension/steering hardware issues on a 2003!

Is your wobble side to side or up and down?. At less than 5 mph does the van sway side to side or does it rock up and down. If it sways then 1 or more of your tires may have a shifted belt.If it rocks then you may have a out of round tire. Let us know what you come up with.

Try moving the tires around. Does the wabble move with the tire?

Hmmm as I recall, it's it's side to side..

I had a tire place I use often and trust look at the tires, plus my husband could find nothing. I thought sure it was an out of balance, but nope!

I had the tires checked, re-balanced and rotated since it started.

Re-reading your post I have a different thought.... one or both of your drive shafts may be out of ballance. I had a shaft so far out of ballance on a Ply sundance that it flet like the car was walking on one side at slow speeds. My 97 LeSaber had out of balance shafts. I had someting like a wobble and replaced the shafts and that took car of that problem.

What I did was to jack up the car, put it on jackstands, and have someone run the engine at different speeds and watch the driveshafts. Both of my shafts were running off center. It was very noticable.

Just a note, if you have traction control be sure to turn it off. With the front wheels in the air the TC thinks the wheels are slipping and will apply the brakes and retard the spark on the engine.

I'm still not sure why one day it was okay and the next day there was a noticable wobble.???
