S2000sr20man 05-08-2002, 08:24 PM I was looking around the web, but could not find the transmission code for the S2000 transmission. Also while looking around I noticed that the only other rwd honda that seems to exist is the passport. Would it be possible to bolt on the passport tranny onto an s2000 block, even thought he s2000 is 6 speed and the passport is 5? Any help would be greatly appreciated. 89ssgti 05-08-2002, 10:50 PM the Passport is basically a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo,so I don't think the drivetrain is Honda. Moppie 05-09-2002, 02:39 AM The S2000 uses an Aftermarket g/box. It simply fitted with ratios to suit, and a bell housing to fit the F20c I believe its a Getrag? All I know is its the same box thats fitted to the Lotus Carlton, and New Chevy Corvette. :D mellowboy 05-09-2002, 03:15 AM Originally posted by 89ssgti the Passport is basically a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo,so I don't think the drivetrain is Honda. No wonder they look identical. sparq 05-09-2002, 07:21 AM Originally posted by mellowboy No wonder they look identical. Yup, same vehicle... isnt a Honda power train, so no it wont bolt up. dundonr 10-15-2003, 10:49 AM The S2000 uses an Aftermarket g/box. The use of double-cone synchronizers for 1st, 3rd and 4th gears, and triple-cone synchronizers for 2nd gear, helps reduce shift effort. Reverse gear uses single-cone synchronizers for smoother shifting and quieter operation. GundamExpo 10-15-2003, 11:01 AM Apparently they modified the trany for the 2004 S2K "The transmission has substantially improved shift feel, thanks to single carbon fiber synchronizer rings replacing dual brass synchros." vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
