Lowering a 99 Ex V6 Coupe

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should go about dropping my ride? Right now I'm thinking about going with the Ground-Control lowering kit. They say it's a coilover, but not really since it does not come with shocks. If I go with that, can it be used with my stock Honda shocks (I have about 56K miles), or should I go with after market ones. If so, which? Or, should I just go with a complete coilover kit? If so, which ones do you reccomend? Right now I'm in fairly good driving conditions with decent roads. But eventually I'll be bringing my car back up to NYC. Lots of potholes, and bad weather.

use Ground Control coilovers with some good aftermarket struts like KYB and Koni or Bilstein...the stocks will blow in a few months so might as well change them now.

if you want full coilover setup go with Tein or Apexi....

i've been on my OEM shox for a year, never blown (just had latest Honda 22,500 mile tune-up & inspection). the ride is still smooth & predictable. local shop here wants $900 for Tein Coilover set. considering Eibach Sport & Neuspeed Race Springs are $225 a set, & then Koni Yellow shox are $500 a set ($125 each), it'll save some you $$$ for the install labor. Ground Control uses Eibach Springs from the Pro-Kit system & are height adjustable, so you can go that route, too.

thanks. Yeah I was leaning towards getting the Ground Controls anyway... Btw, do I have to order through them, or do you know of any other sites where I can get them cheaper. Also, do you recommend I have them put on the Bilstein adapters if those are the shocks I'm planning on buying?
