2002-2003 altima in the snowsnugglez116 09-01-2005, 12:16 AM i currently drive a toyota 4runner, but im thinking about buying a late model altima for its mpg rating and because i hear its a pretty good car overall, but i was wondering how it was in the snow? i live in north eastern pennsylvania so theres alot of snow i mean about 6-12 inches every week or so. if someone could tell me how it drives in the snow id appriciate it. dfair 01-05-2006, 07:19 PM I live in Detroit and drive an 02 Altima. I have the 4-cyl with 2 snow tires up front. The snow tires are defintely worth it and I can't imagine the torquey 6-cyl being anything other than a pain in the butt. D Xmasbabe 01-26-2006, 09:51 PM Dfair you are 100% right on the money. The 3.5 is horrible in the snow! I would not recommend the 6 to anyone who lives where snow in the norm. I have an 03, and was thrilled with the hp until the first snow! No matter how easy you are on the gas, the tail end gets loose. I got rid of the stock tires and put on the same ones I had on my previous vehicles which never gave me problems. It helped but not enough. Only solution I have found is starting in 1st and shifting in manually. :banghead: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
