Turbocharger for WRXboost4life 08-31-2005, 06:20 PM I recently bought a T3 turbocharger. Will this give me a HP gain? At what PSI would i have to run it to get an HP gain and what is the max boost a WRX can handle on stock internals? Skyline_R32_Canada 08-31-2005, 10:58 PM dude you really need to research things..... boost4life 09-01-2005, 02:47 PM dude you really need to research things..... Hey dickhead i was just wonderin if anyone knew. freakray 09-01-2005, 09:07 PM Why did you buy something without first researching whether it could be used? boost4life 09-02-2005, 05:38 AM Why did you buy something without first researching whether it could be used? I purchased it for my cavi. Im buyin a WRX next year and was curious if i could reuse the turbocharger. freakray 09-02-2005, 08:16 AM I thought you were doing an engine swap in a Pulsar? The turbo may work, but for the amount of work will be needed and money still need spent, you may as well get rid of it and just buy a kit. Right_LiRrr 09-04-2005, 03:20 AM I think generally for an everyday driver the safest level of boost increase is 10% of stock. For the WRX it's generally accepted that 16psi on stock internals will have almost no strain on the engine. King Of Crunk 09-04-2005, 03:54 AM Hey dickhead i was just wonderin if anyone knew. sooo you're doing an engine swap in a pulsar and you have boosted cavalier and are thinking about using your old T3 turbo in a WRX? it sounds like if you have the know how to turbo a cavalier and do an engine swap you should know where a safe boost level is... found a reason to finally used this... http://www.csgn.co.uk/LPOL/Gallery/6105/stfu.jpg boost4life 09-07-2005, 09:34 AM sooo you're doing an engine swap in a pulsar and you have boosted cavalier and are thinking about using your old T3 turbo in a WRX? it sounds like if you have the know how to turbo a cavalier and do an engine swap you should know where a safe boost level is... found a reason to finally used this... http://www.csgn.co.uk/LPOL/Gallery/6105/stfu.jpg I never said i had a boosted cavi. I simply said that I bought the turbo with intentions of putting it in but never got around to it. And the pulsar is for a buddy of mine. He bought it but he gets scared or something when he asks questions.??? I dont know hes weird sometimes. So i dont know shit about turbocharging my vehicle. And i aint doing a engine swap i was askin if it was possible. freakray 09-07-2005, 10:50 AM Ahh.....the old "I have a friend....." one. boost4life 09-08-2005, 01:44 PM Ahh.....the old "I have a friend....." one. What u sayin im lying? Why in gods name would i want a 1990 Pulsar. If i was going to get a nissan it would be a 300ZX TT. NOT a Pulsar. Besides I dont want any other car but a WRX at this point :). I test drove a 2003 WRX and a 2004 STi. I wish i could afford the STi ($27,000 & 16k Miles). So the old "I have a friend....." is legit. sLeak 09-18-2005, 02:14 PM sell the t3 and buy a VF34 kit vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
