I have a 2001 chrysler sebring lxi and the motor locked up and it needs to be replaced...i was lookin for some advice on a few things..first its a 2.7 liter
1. how much can should it cost to replace with labor
2. i'm not mechanically inclined but could i get a 3.0 liter engine put in my car instead of replacing the 2.7 liter

any help would be appreciated

That depends on how you go about it. You can buy a junkyard motor cheaper than a shop will sale you a rebuilt motor and whatever the shop charges per hour on labor. Best thing to do is top shop it around. Compare prices and don't get pressured into going with one shop. Don't let them tell you, "if you leave it here today, we can give you this price!" Let the shops know you are shopping around. I wouldn't go with the highest or lowest and make sure whoever you go with gives you some kind of warranty with their work.
2. i'm not mechanically inclined but could i get a 3.0 liter engine put in my car instead of replacing the 2.7 literA 3.0L engine would probably fit, but then you are probably looking at alot of custom work which means more money.
