You should be able to unbolt the power window from the track but be careful because it is spring loaded. The best and safest way would be to remove the motor with the armature and secure the "arms" so that when you unbolt the motor it does not unload the spring tension.

To access the bolts holding the motor in place, you have to drill holes through the sheet metal of the door ( behind trim panal ) usually marked by dimples in the sheet metal. Then you can fit a socket through to access the bolts.

Check out this thread about 98 windstar power windows...

If it is just the motor seized, you can pull it w/o messing with the regulator, taping/supporting the window or drilling a hole to secure a bolt in so the clock spring doesn't bite you.

I did this-cleaned and lubed motor real good. Window worked 5 days, then the plastic gears that the motor inserts into seized up. I now understand why they sell the motor AND gear unit.

I got a motor/gear unit at rockauto.com...DORMAN 742-245....$63.
