4 bolt to 6 bolt swap?Hit_N_Run-player 08-30-2005, 09:51 PM I have a few questions about this swap. Ive really been wanting an S13 for the past year but i still havent found one and im now starting to look at getting a TSI talon. There is a really cheap deal on a TSI here that has only 130K miles on the shell and 90 on the engine. He said he swapped out the 4 bolt for a 6 bolt engine? What exactly is this? I also tryed searching and it keeps coming up with "cannot find page" when i hit the search button.. scottsee 08-30-2005, 09:55 PM errr. 90-94 = 1g 95-99 = 2g 90 - April 92 is 6bolt engine April 92-99 is 7bolt He might have been refuring to a 1g 3bolt to 2g 4bolt swap on the rear end. Dukeguy01 08-30-2005, 09:58 PM The guy must not know what he is talking about... There is no 4 bolt engine. If the car is a 90-91 it would have a 3 bolt rear end that he could have swapped out for a 4 bolt which are stronger. It should already have a 6 bolt in it also. If its a 92-99 it will have a 4 bolt rear end and if its a 92 it will probably have a 6 bolt engine. If its 93-99 it would have a 7 bolt that he could have replaced with a 6 bolt. Find out what he is talking about. It was swapped in before you got it then. The 4 bolt rear didnt come out until 92. ez1286 08-30-2005, 10:21 PM I don't think it was swapped, i geuss it could have been cause there was some little stuff done when i got it. Hit_N_Run-player 08-31-2005, 08:15 PM Well now the guy is saying it is missing the driver door trim($20), rear passenger seats(i switched from cloth to leather $60), needs new pass side window buttons($5), Cracked windshield($130), A/C needs to be installed(I have every single piece for it and max radiator will do it for $100). Do you still think it would be a good deal for 2500$? Even with these minor problems.. spyderturbo007 09-01-2005, 08:39 AM Doesn't look like a good deal to me. You can throw a AFPR on that list of things you need to get, as the 255lph FP is overrunning the stock FPR. What's up with setting the boost at 11psi???? Factory setting is higher than that :confused: kjewer1 09-01-2005, 10:59 AM 11 psi is stock boost on the 1G. The 2g was 14. So i asked if i could look for a 1g eclipse and they said, "Its not the insurance on a mitsu, its the reliability that you wont have" So now i cant get any type of DSM witch is stupid...thanks for the help anyways guys..
