turbo i might be getting...need help asap!97GSTspyder 08-30-2005, 02:04 PM http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7995935426 it's a 14b, rebuilt going for cheap. i need to get this thing bad, but my question is...how can you tell if it came from a car with an automatic tranny or a manual? i emailed the guy asking him today but no reply yet. and the bid ends in 2 hours. i'm on a tight budget which is why this turbo is good for me. if i had a grand i'd get either the T28 or evo 16g, but i don't wanna wait forever to save up. thanks for any help spyderturbo007 08-30-2005, 02:35 PM I thought that the automatics were shipped with the 13b or something like that. I do know that they had smaller injectors (390cc). Hang on, let me check on tuners, I know I saw a list with the factory mitsu turbo part numbers. spyderturbo007 08-30-2005, 03:23 PM This is all I could find...... 14B turbos are stock turbos on first-generation manual transmission cars. 13G turbos are smaller, and are stock turbos on first-generation automatic transmission cars. Both are made by Mitsubishi - the full numbers are TD05H-14B-6CM2 and TD04-13G-5CM2, respectively. That quote was taken from VFAQ.com. I couldn't find the one on tooners....sorry. It looks like that is a 14b because the 13g is a TD04. spyderturbo007 08-30-2005, 03:25 PM Check this out: http://www.vfaq.net/DSM/mods/10faq.html It looks like the smallest TD05H MHI turbo is the 14b....so I think you're in luck. :) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
