Hi everyone, I drive a 98 Contour w/ a 2.0L engine. After I have driven the car for a while (about 20 miles), the airbag, ABS, battery, parking brake, and oil lights start to come on and then turn off after a while, then turn back on. When this happens at night, the high beams turn on and off by themselves. Could someone please help me. I feel like a real a-hole driving at night with my high beams turning on and off.

I think maybe your wiring harness might be one of the years that there is a recall for. You might want to check with dealer. If you see cracked insulation on wiring that is showing. Some wires somewhere maybe contacting metal or each other.

if i remember correctly it was only for 95-97, Again I can't clarify that, but if something (like the altenator) locked up and hes running with no belt, all those lights will come on. It could be the wiring harness though.
