i receinly installed some lowering springs and about a day after they were installed i started getting this clunking noise in the steering. i took everything apart and there is nothing rubbing as far a the suspension goes. it seems like the sound is coming from the steering column or box or something. i'm guessing this was caused by the lowering springs but i really do not want to take them off if it could be something else so if you guys have any ideas they would be greatly apriciated.

by the way i have a 2001 bu with 29000 miles

Thanks in advance

The car is low to begin with. You may have modified a suspention that shouldn't be lowered from OEM specs.

Just a guess

i used the ebiach springs or however you spell that, they where advertised as a 1.3 inch drop which is less then compeditors and they are a high quality name brand spring designed of my car. i'm guessing they just agrivated an existing problem because there are tons of malibus that are as low or lower and are still ok so i dont know what to think anymore
