Engine swap?

Now, at 268,000 miles, i think the engine in my pau has had enough. I'm sure that it still has plenty of potential, but in its current state is a big fancy paperweight. I was wondering if anyone knows/has heard of someone swapping the engine out from a '98 GPX. I know they're both 3.8's, but what all differences there are in mounting, tranny, etc.

any input's appreciated.

The mounting locations are the same on all of the fwd 3.8's.

I realize it's been a month, but my 2 cents from replacing a 95 VIN K with a 97 VIN K: Sensor connectors were different. ALL sensors had to be transferred between the engines (kept with the car). Also, new 95 flexplate was needed, old engine's had slipped and was unuseable(97 had wrong TC bolt pattern). Good luck, otherwise not a bad job, but watch the plastic blower housng/evap cover. It cracks easily.
