98 windstar trac light & alb light

I am new here and have just found this site, hope someone can help me...my 98 windstar trac light and abs light have just started to come on, what does this mean? what can I do about it.
I am not a big car fix it guy myself, but my bro-in-law is, so any advise would be great.

I'm just guessing here, but I believe the traction control and antilock brakes use the same wheel sensors. So I would guess one of the wheel sensors is going bad.

Well you would want to verify that a bad wheel sensor is the problem. They run about $50.00 each. Maybe your local mechanic can help you more, I'm just guessing it is a wheel sensor.

Have a brake shop pull your ABS codes. It could be wheel sensors, or it could be your ABS controller.

have you sorted this problem as i seem to have the same thing????
