I have a 88 Ford F350 7.3 Deisel truck. Today I took my truck in to have a water pump replaced. By the time I returned home my brakes were gone. The pedal will go all the way to the floor, and you guessed the truck will not stop. Could the repair have anything to do with it? Is there anything else that could have went out?

First, Welcome to the boards. It is not very likely that the 2 are related. It sounds as if you have a fluid leak. Either internal (bad mastercylinder) or external (lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, calipers, etc). If you live in the rust belt check the steel lines first. After that hoses and wheel cylinders next. Good hunting.

Check your belt to your vacuum pump on the lower right side of the engine. Could be loose or misadjusted. No pump = no vacuum = no brake booster. Maybe it was disturbed during the water pump change.
