OBDII port on '95 Accord EX (4cyl), where is it?skid2964 08-24-2005, 06:51 PM If my Accord even has an OBDII port! Where would it be? I cannot find it, but hey, I've never been good at finding things! Easter egg hunts left a dreadfull emotional scar on me! 94 Accord 08-25-2005, 04:08 AM From what I know 94-95 Accords are OBD 1 and 96-97 Accords are OBD 2. skid2964 08-25-2005, 08:26 AM Do you know where the port is located? From what I know 94-95 Accords are OBD 1 and 96-97 Accords are OBD 2. phantastic1 08-26-2005, 02:59 PM if you are tryin to pull the codes....look under the glove box....between the blower motor and the back of the glove box....there should be a 2 pin connector. i believe it's blue....and it's not connected to anything. take a paper clip and jump the 2 pins...turn the ignition on to II....and count the flashes from the CEL. skid2964 08-26-2005, 03:02 PM The "maintenance required" indicator went from yellow to red and I'm trying to figure out what that means. I will look for the connector you mentioned, thanks. if you are tryin to pull the codes....look under the glove box....between the blower motor and the back of the glove box....there should be a 2 pin connector. i believe it's blue....and it's not connected to anything. take a paper clip and jump the 2 pins...turn the ignition on to II....and count the flashes from the CEL. jeddi20 08-27-2005, 08:45 AM The "maintenance required" indicator went from yellow to red and I'm trying to figure out what that means. I will look for the connector you mentioned, thanks. the maintenance required light should be different from your check engine light. if the odometer is digital the reset button is on the right side. with the key offpush the button down and hold it then turn the key on to the run or III position <when all your dash lights come on> keep holding it tell the light goes out. then turn the key off and remove it. insert it again and start the car. if it works that means that at a predetermined time that light will come on and tell you its time for an oil change or what ever is due at that mileage. let me know what happens. skid2964 08-27-2005, 08:57 AM This car does not have the LED or LCD odometer, is the old-fashioned type. But I tried what you suggested, did not work. There is also a ressessed button in the middle of the instrument cluster, I tried it also, did not get rid of the red "maint. indicator" ... the "maint. required" indicator is not a light, it appears to have a moving colored piece behind it that moves to prsent a different color. When we bought the car it was yellow, it just turned to red the other day. The "ABS" light stays on also .... the maintenance required light should be different from your check engine light. if the odometer is digital the reset button is on the right side. with the key offpush the button down and hold it then turn the key on to the run or III position <when all your dash lights come on> keep holding it tell the light goes out. then turn the key off and remove it. insert it again and start the car. if it works that means that at a predetermined time that light will come on and tell you its time for an oil change or what ever is due at that mileage. let me know what happens. phantastic1 08-27-2005, 10:38 PM the "maintainance required" indicator is ment for routine servicing. you're not gonna have any DTC's if the indicator is yellow/red. if you have tried to put your key into the reset slot...and it remains the same color....your problem could be the reset switch. as for your abs....a common prob w/ your year accord is the abs actuator. check if you have enough fluid in your abs res. is your car making a loud buzzing sound from under the hood? skid2964 08-28-2005, 12:31 AM Yes, there is a pulsating buzzing noise when the engine is first started. The noise does come from the ABS unit. This seems to have started after I replaced the rear brake pads. But I dont know what I would have done to cause the problem. the "maintainance required" indicator is ment for routine servicing. you're not gonna have any DTC's if the indicator is yellow/red. if you have tried to put your key into the reset slot...and it remains the same color....your problem could be the reset switch. as for your abs....a common prob w/ your year accord is the abs actuator. check if you have enough fluid in your abs res. is your car making a loud buzzing sound from under the hood? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
