Hey all, got a question.
I just recently returned from 2yr tour over seas and bought a 2005 STX 4x4. I'm dissapointed in the power that the 4.6L V8 is putting out, only 231HP!? Any suggestions? Cold air intake? Air Induction? Exhaust? Those are about the only real options that come to mind other than a turbo or supercharger (which of course is not available for the 4.6L, not like I'd have the money to invest in one anyway)
And how far can I go on adding performance parts before I void my warranty? Many thanks

Cold air intake sounds worthy, i put one on my truck and it is a good way to may 10 hp and save 5-6 mpg. Exhaust sounds like a good investment too, I'd run a duel exhaust flowmaster system, and I'd go with the 40 series muffler. All in all after you make those minor upgrades, you should be sitting *somewhere* around 250hp. You also might want to look at a chip upgrade, those can sometimes put out good hp. **Make sure the chip wont void warranty, most will**

--Also, try a throttle body spacer, i think poweraid makes one for the 4.6L motor, good way to increase hp and mpg with bolt on parts.--
