So Im driving from the AF base here where the PX and bank I need to go to are at to my Army base, right before I work a night shift. I pull out of the base, and this guy rides my ass all the way until the lanes open up about a mile out of the base. There is a long road where you can easily hit 200kph without a problem. (There is a light right after it splits to two lanes. That we had to stop at.)

Now the vehicle next to me is a brand new Audi A4 (2.0 TDI if I am not mistaken..know it was a diesel)rental car. (You can tell its a rental because of the license plates here.. The first letters denote the city, and an M or DN, and a couple others=rental car.) The guy is in uniform and looking like a kid in a candy store in this car.

So he nods to me when I look over and I nod back.. I will race anything I see if I have the chance.. and there arent many where I live. (ALOT where my girlfriend lives though.) The light goes from Red to Yellow, and my reaction was quicker than his, so I had him almost at my rear bumper right from the getgo... It didnt take long for him to start reeling me in up until about 70-80 kmh, at that point I looked over and I was sitting where his front bumper was....Thats about the point where the Calibra just moved.. Shifted into third around 65-70, and third gear just killed him... by the time I hit 4th gear, he was losing ground fast...

I ended up stopping at about 165 or so, and he kept going, but he was losing ground still at that point, and was near 3-4 car lengths behind me.

Cap: 91 Calibra vs. New A4 Audi TDi 2.0. The torque on the Diesel was enough to begin to real me in on the low end even after I had a jump on him.. but it wasnt enough to stop the Calibra from pulling away for about a 3-4 car length kill. (At 165 kph/around 99 MpH range)

nice kill... but what's with audi and tdi over there? maybe it's for economical purposes cuz I always figured the tdi to be slower than the turbo gas model. BTW, my wife has a Passat 1.8 gas turbo... kinda big heavy car but still scoots pretty well. Her sister-in-law used to have a N/A diesel jetta and it was about as slow as a Chevette...
